About

I’m Gippe, let’s go on an adventure.

The past

I was raised in a prosperous Anglo-Saxon town, one of traders. Once stocked by weavers and potters. Shepherds roamed the fields, tending to their flock that would give them their wool to trade; a common commodity, one that built its riches. Now stocked by fishmongers, fresh fruit traders, and outfitters, it is a hub of food, culture and sports in the region.

Lots of my time was spent outside. I’d visit castles, battles, encampments. I learned to admire the tranquillity of the outdoors. The cycle of the Earth. The way the light reflects off leaves and branches. The way the water swirls in chaotic beauty.

The present

Nature took hold of me, as I found myself more and more engrossed by its beauty in every waking moment. From snow to sunrises and sunsets. The grey, cloudy days of England and the stormy summers. It was all incredible. It gave the world its life, its beating heart. I was ever more driven towards heathenry – something I’d been exposed to here and there throughout my life.

Meeting a small re-enactment group further moved my life positively. I now push myself and see what I can do – improve myself. I gain confidence in public speaking and conveying my knowledge and passion to those who wish to know. And I make many friends, who I hold dearly.

The future

I can’t say what my future holds, but I can hope.

Living with my partner, my own personal sunlight since 2019? That’s my main goal. My dream.

Become a more renowned reenactor locally? Nationally? We’ll see.

Help people be their very best, and help them enjoy their lives? I’d love to. Perhaps you’re one of them?
